Bulverde is a part of Southwest Comal County, Texas, which was first inhabited in 1850 and was formerly known as Pieper Settlement in honor of Anton Pieper. It is situated along Cibolo Creek, 19 miles west of New Braunfels. Bulverde is renowned for its small-town, leisurely pace of life as well as the town’s founding fathers’ German emigrant background.
Native Americans were Bulverde’s initial inhabitants. The Bulverde Point is a particular kind of arrowhead that bears the name of the Native American arrowhead design. Similar to the neighboring New Braunfels, it was mostly colonized by German immigrants. Summers in this region are hot and muggy, whereas winters are often pleasant to chilly.

There are many neighborhoods in Bulverde. In general, Bulverde’s evolutionary genesis was responsible for the physical creation of the communities. The current city was created from five different incorporated communities, and it took 22 elections starting in 1996 for it to finally join together as one. Bulverde North, Bulverde West, and Bulverde South proposed consolidation in 1998. Bulverde East and Bulverde Northwest did the same in 1999 and 2000, respectively. The Bulverde South Board of Aldermen changed the name of the municipality to the City of Bulverde on May 11, 1999.
The wonderful community of Bulverde is steadily growing in population. Superior schools are located in a wonderful community. It is a good place to live and raise a family since it has the atmosphere of a small town and the conveniences of the metropolis. Despite being close to large cities, it yet has enough to preserve a small-town atmosphere.
